The fun has begun and so have the games, songs, and even driving your own car. Parents don’t worry, they are made from cardboard. On February 11th; 3, 4, and 5 year olds joined together in the children’s area of the public library for ADVENTURES UNDER THE SUN!  Each Wednesday the children begin storytime by driving their pretend cars to the beach, the city, the jungle and also to the MOON! WOW! Where else can this happen except at the library?

Their other adventures will include a trip to Ireland for the celebration of St. Patty’s Day, a visit to a ranch, the desert, Washington D.C. to meet our country’s founding fathers, and last but not least we will go to meet the Easter Bunny. Lots of fun is planned for our ADVENTURES UNDER THE SUN.  If you know someone who is 3, 4 or 5 years old, please allow them to join us. The old saying “The more the Merrier” goes a long way at the library. “YOUR WINDOW TO THE WORLD” Especially when you are young!

If you are 3, 4, or 5 years old join the kids for ADVENTURES UNDER THE SUN. You might even see a librarian driving a pretend car ! Read the rest of this entry »

The 2009 Summer Reading theme is “BE CREATIVE @ YOUR LIBRARY”.  The summer reading program is designed to encourage children to read throughout the summer months.  Enjoyable and interactive progams are being planned now for the children. Through these programs the library staff wants to provide fun and interactive ways for the children to discover their creative skill and talent. It may seem a long time until summer but planning for the programs has already begun.
